I had an amazing consultation with someone who was genuinely excited to work with me. Everything aligned—she just needed a little time to decide which package felt right. She was ready. I followed up over the next couple of days, and by day three, I woke up to a message saying she was going to pass for now because she had just been approved for a weight loss tool. And it got me thinking… can you use a plus-size stylist while on a weight loss journey? The answer is yes—you absolutely can. But the approach has to be different. Because weight loss, like any real journey, takes time. Usually more time than we expect.
How Do You Want to Show Up?
So then the question becomes: how do you want to show up on this journey? Are the frustrations you currently face—having nothing to wear, dreading getting dressed—worth prolonging as you focus on weight loss? If your answer is no… keep reading.
Celebrate Your Body Today
First off—I MUST pause to celebrate the fact that you are bettering yourself. I absolutely love that for you. And I want to be abundantly clear that while I am a plus-size stylist, I would NEVER not support women on any journey they are taking to build a better life.
With that being said, one thing I believe with my whole chest—you do not have to wait to look good. You, in your present body—with weight gain, weight loss, at the beginning, at the end, or in transition—deserve to look good now. It is the fire behind my desire.
Styling During Transition
One of the most common concerns about working with a stylist while your body is in transition is the cost. Does it make sense to invest coins in a service and on clothes that may not fit in a few months? And I mostly agree—it might not be the wisest decision without strategy. Intriguing, right? To know that it’s possible to both lose weight and look good while doing it.
The strategy: depending on where you are on your journey, we can focus on repurposing and restyling pieces you already own into chic, oversized looks—or shop strategically for pieces that will work in oversized silhouettes as you progress. So instead of a bodycon dress, we might opt for a fitted blazer that can later be styled oversized, or stretch pants that move with you.
Look Good Now, Not Later
Whatever strategy you choose, know this: looking good is available to you today. Well… maybe tomorrow if we start today! I would love to show you how to celebrate the work that you’ve already put in—even if the journey isn’t over—and if you’re intrigued to learn how to look good during weight loss, let’s chat.
